It was back to school this week for 2 of my boys. I’m finding it really hard to believe that I only have 1 in primary school and 1 in high school now. Today, my Sunday Session is a reflection on my school days based on the years my boys are in this year.
Jacob is in Grade 2 this year and a few decades ago I was too.
According to Ken’s Music Report, the #1 single the year I was in Grade 2 was “You’re the One That I Want” by Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta
Christian in starting Year 10 and sometime back in the ‘80’s, I did too. The #1 song that year was “You’re the Voice” by John Farnham.
Great post! I loved those comparison pictures of you & your kids at the same age and great songs for this weeks Sunday Session too.

DeleteThe song I can remember from my Primary School days, is Bette Davis Eyes.
ReplyDeleteI love the flashback photos. :)
I loved that song too!
DeleteI love the comparisons Nat and finding out the songs that defined your primary and secondary years. And I loved hearing both those songs again - great choices!
ReplyDeleteOh Nat, that Livvy and John Travolta duet - the Grease soundtrack LP was one of my treasured possessions from primary school. Love it!! Can't cop Your the Voice though - very unAustralian of me, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteAw, what a great post. :) I love the pics. What a great idea. :)
ReplyDeleteLove those pics! Don't those songs just take you back in time!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking up to Sunday Session x
